Oxydemeton-Methyl

ODM(Oxydemeton-Methyl) is a broad spectrum, systemic insecticide/acaricide registered for foliar and bark treatment uses
to control many insects, primarily aphids, mites, and thrips.

Approximately 150,000 pounds of ODM active ingredient are used annually in the United States.

The resistance mechanisms to oxydemeton-methyl were surveyed in two Iranian strains of the two spotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae Koch. Bioassay was carried out on two strains, collected from Tehran and Rasht using a dipping method.

The MRLs are expressed as the sum oxydemeton-methyl, demeton-S-methyl, and demeton-Smethylsulphon, expressed as oxydemeton-methyl.
