The Ministry of Commerce, Govt of India has approved to set up AEZ Cashew in Tamil Nadu. Feasibility report has been prepared.
An agreement was signed on 12.4.2005 between APEDA, GOI, Agriculture Department, GOTN for setting up an Agri Export Zone for Cashew at Cuddalore covering Cuddalore, Thanjavur, Perambalur, Pudukottai and Sivaganga Districts at a project cost of Rs 10.36 crores. Agricultural Marketing & Agri Business is the Nodal Agency .
