Dimethyl Amino Ethyl Acrylate

2-Dimethylaminoethyl acrylate (ADAME) is a yellowish liquid with a pungent odor. World-wide and in Japan, 95-97% of this substance is used to produce DMAEA quarternary ammonium salts which are used to produce polymers for industries such as water-treatment and paper-making.
Arkema, which is the world number three in acrylics is to build a new production line for dimethyl amino ethyl acrylate (DMAEA) at Carling-Saint. Carling is one of the largest acrylic acid plants in the world.
