Corn flakes are a popular breakfast cereal originally manufactured by Kellogg's through the
treatment of maize.
The term "Corn Flakes" was devised by Mr. John Kellogg, the inventor. It was originally referred
to as "Granose", but this was later changed to the far more obvious name "Corn Flakes".
This term refers simply to the product, flakes of corn, in what is obviously a retro reference to the good old days of advertising, when you got exactly what it said on the tin (or cereal packet).
