Disposable endoscope
- Disposable Endoscopes are miniatured, elongated microscopes that physicians use to perform some minimally invasive procedures on patients in their hollow organs or invasive canals.
- Infection in patients can occur due to inadequate cleaning of endoscopes and instruments which pass through endoscopes.
- Disposable endoscope is one which usually consists of a fibre-optic tube then attached to a viewing device, where the endoscopes are used to explore and biopsy such areas as the colon and the bronchi of the lungs.
